PERSONAL PROFILE
Gerry began his legal career in 1994 and prior to the establishment of Trinity Law Partnership in January 2004 was employed by a leading national firm of solicitors in Birmingham where he qualified as a solicitor.
Throughout his legal career Gerry has handled a wide variety of Claimant Personal Injury claims, predominantly workplace accidents for members of trade unions. These cases ranged from the straightforward to those involving complex issues of law. In particular, Gerry dealt with the landmark Court of Appeal case, Mullaney v Chief Constable of West Midlands Police [2001]All ER (D) 191 (May) relating to the duty of care owed to Police Officers. In the 10 years spent conducting cases on behalf of accident victims Gerry has had numerous cases successfully concluded at Trial.
Furthermore, Gerry has considerable experience of applications to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority and has provided training and education on this subject both in house and externally to organisations such as Victim Support.
