Safety Fears for Children's Adventure Activities
2 December 2011
Children's safety came under the spotlight this week after APIL (the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) issued a press release criticising a lack of clarity about the future of coroner safety alerts.
APIL president David Bott said it was "appalling" that no plans had been drawn up to ensure coroner reports would be circulated among adventure activity providers after the industry regulator is axed.
Mr Bott said: "No-one knows how these important coroner reports will be circulated. Who is going to pick up the pieces if the Adventure Activities Licensing Service (AALS) has been disbanded?"
