If you have been the victim of a criminal injury for example if you have been assaulted or injured due to of a crime of violence we may be able to help you claim compensation.
Ordinarily claims for a criminal injury are dealt with by way of an Application to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA)
The CICA are a Government Agency who use funds from the taxpayer to compensate victims of violent crime. Anyone applying to the CICA in respect of a criminal injury must first of all satisfy the Authority that they are eligible for compensation and if eligible the CICA award compensation on the basis of a Tariff depending on the nature of the injury sustained
